Joining a practice that had serviced the needs of his community since 1970 was an honour when Dr. John assumed practice ownership in 2013. He had grown up in Toronto and wanted to practice in a close-knit community, near his family. Being a part of the community is important to Dr. John – both personally and professionally. He regularly volunteers at music events, supports the Humane Society and local food banks, and helps our sports as a team sponsor.

As a dentist in Etobicoke, Dr. John enjoys reimagining smiles with full-mouth restorations and rehabilitations, Dr. John is dedicated to helping you smile with healthy confidence. With the philosophy that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, Dr. John will work closely with you to ensure that your needs are met with reassuring excellence.

Away from the practice Dr. John and his partner Sarah enjoy calling Etobicoke home. Dr. John loves to stay active and has run over a dozen marathons to date! You may also find him golfing, playing tennis, or volunteering.

Dr. Ryan has been with the JM Dental team since 2012 as a Board-certified Endodontist. He is a wonderful fit for our caring team and embraces the technology at his disposal. His passion is to use his knowledge and expertise to save teeth with root canal treatment, helping you to avoid a future with missing teeth or the need for tooth replacement. Dr. Ryan is so passionate about the roots of teeth that his Masters’ thesis looked at the complexities of molar root canals! He is truly dedicated to your needs and his dental specialty.

Dr. Ryan places his focus on helping you achieve the excellent oral health and full set of teeth that supports a healthy body and your self esteem. When not helping others, Dr. Ryan enjoys travelling, spending time with his wife who is a vet, and loves being a father to their two daughters. As an avid baseball fan, Dr. Ryan’s dream is to bring his daughters to see the Jays in a World Series game.

Focusing his practice on dental surgery, Dr. Ammar has been an important member of the team at JM Dental since 2017. Whether your needs include wisdom teeth removal, dental implant placement, or general dental surgery, Dr. Ammar works with you to understand your goals so he can help you meet them. Getting you out of pain and back to your life – while smiling with confidence – is his priority.

Prior to joining our team, Dr. Ammar considered his own requirements in a new dental home and found that our friendly team, high standard of infection control, and use of dental technology suited his needs as well as they would suit his future patients. We are thrilled that he chose us – and hope you will too!

Dr. Ammar grew up in Toronto and loves to volunteer in a variety of ways for the causes closest to his heart. When he’s not helping people smile, Dr. Ammar enjoys cooking, working out, and travelling.

A leading authority in the field of orthodontics, Dr. Sky believes that a healthy and beautiful smile can make a world of difference in a person’s life, and that positive self-image and self-confidence can be greatly impacted by proper orthodontic care.

Having earned her Masters of Science degree and Orthodontic certification in 2005 from the University of Toronto, Dr. Sky has gone on to present and speak at several top industry events, including the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the American Cleft Lip and Palette Association.

She’s also part of the team at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, and says it’s an honour and a privilege to work with and positively impact the self-esteem and confidence of children with craniofacial abnormalities, cleft lips and palate syndrome, as well as other developmental challenges.

Dr. Sky makes it her priority to provide orthodontic care at a standard of excellence, and is dedicated to delivering that care in a manner that continually exceeds patient expectations.
